So kind & delicious food
Came here with a group on a Saturday evening. They were slammed so understandably there was a bit of a wait. The food was pretty good but not outstanding. Would try again.
Had the lunch box bulgogi. Tender and sweet beef paired w sticky rice, pieces of vege pancake and couple dumplings plus a side salad. It also came w some side dishes, as is tradition. Lunch is inexpensive at $10 a box, but come at dinner and you're looking at $13+(the beef bulgogi was $16 I think). So dinner is pricey, but arrive before 3pm for lunch and you can eat like a king for a paupers wage. Service was quick and friendly and the dining room was clean and cool. They close at 330 and reopen an hour or so later I saw, so watch out for that. Overall loved everything and will be back.
I've loved every dish I've tried at this restaurant.
Had trouble finding any meat in my bibimbap.
$10 for a filling tastey lunch meal. BulGoGi, rice, pot stickers, salad, 3 additional dishes of kimchi, broccoli, potatoes. All tasted great. Appeared to be many Koreans in there eating at the time as well. Staff was friendly.
Great food and reasonable prices. Quick and friendly service. And the complimentary banchan (side plates) is excellent!
The owner was really kind to us!!! Thank you for the great service AND wonderful, warm food 🙌🏻👍🏻
Great food. Fresh, flavorful. Ordered seafood pajeon, mandoo, japchae, grilled mackerel, and meat jun. Everything was delicious. Especially the japchae and grilled mackerel. The noodles were done nicely, great flavor. The grilled mackerel was cooked perfectly. Not overdone which can happen with mackerel. Lightly dusted and pan fried. Mandoo is vegetarian and nicely fried.
my friend and i love korean food and after she moved to portland we'd been looking for a new favorite korean spot to go. after reading the great reviews i suggested we try it and we absolutely loved it! we split the seafood pancake and she got the grilled mackerel which was so delicious and i got the dolsot bibimbap and it was amazing. the staff were so nice and friendly too. this is definitely gonna be our new favorite, even though it's a bit of a drive from where she lives, it's worth it.
Best Korean food in Beaverton.
Service: Awesome.Food: 👍Place maintenance: okayBut still pretty good.
Family-friendly dining, quality food in generous portions in a no-frills setting. Service was excellent.
Certainly was worth making the trip. Lunch was filling and satisfying.
My husband has previously hated Korean food - but he loved the food at HaeRim. His beef bulgogi was great as was my spicy pork. Innovative small dishes. Maybe next time a kimchi pancake.
Food was great and more importantly service was great. I felt welcomed and well cared. We will come back.
Really great service and food! My partner got the spiciest beef bulgogi possibly and he loved it and I got the cold buckwheat noodles with spicy sauce on it and it was really good. I don't know if our server was the owner or not but he was very nice. Although we didn't order any, he brought us waters after seeing me petting much breathing out smoke because my mouth was on fire. They bring out little bowls of a sweet rice soup with your check at the end which were really good.
Very friendly and welcoming environment. The food was delicious and came with moderate portion sizes. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. I will definitely be going back for more!
Came in for lunch. Ordered the Yaki udon. Asked which choice of meat from beef or chicken would he recommend, he answered pork. I acquiesced and received a dish that was aesthetically pleasing, very hot in temperature but lacking in any substantial amount of pork. After having delivered my meal, he never checked in with me and never offered to refill my water which I observed him offering to do for another customer. This was the second and last time I intend to frequent this establishment.
Decent Korean fare. Really liked the staff who went above and beyond to make our dinner experience wonderful.
I've been coming here for a long time now. The taste never changes and I love the owners. My personal favorite is soon doo boo.
Hae Rim absolutely NAILS their seolleongtang (oxbone broth with beef). Highly recommend making the 20 min/1 hour/however long it takes you-- journey for this soul-soothing soup. Definitely was the highlight of my meal (and my day).
Love it. Amazing food and service.
Haerim, is our favourite family restaurant. It is a family owned and run establishment. The owners are friendly and provide a great service. We once left a scarf here and upon out next visit, after a couple of months have passed, we we're presented with it. The food is simple and yummy and there are always plenty of side dishes to nibble on. If you have not eaten Korean before this is a great place to start! We're hooked.
Consistently great food. Friendly owner. Good environment. One of the best in town!
Place is a hidden gem. Korean food here is amazing and they're super friendly.
This was my first visit and I enjoyed the food. I'm not very adventurous - I like beef bulgogi very much and pretty much always order it when I have Korean. They do a good job with the dish. The kimchi and other small dishes were above average, and the pan-fried dumplings were very good and not overcooked. I always request a fried egg on my bulgogi and have never been made to feel like it was disrespectful or unreasonable. When I asked the man who took my order for an egg, he reacted - pretty mildly, but my dining partner picked up on it, too - as if I were being unreasonable (I'll assume that he didn't take it as disrespect). He said he would ask the chef, and when he brought my meal out, said the chef had said he would not alter the dish. Which, fine, but I could have done without the initial tone of voice when I ordered.
Eat your veggies
Cozy joint, great food and service
Love the bbq, and every meal!
This place is absolutely fantastic. The owners are extremely friendly and treated us as true guests, not just customers. We ordered the Soon Doo Boo soup (spicy tofu soup) and the Dol Sot bibimbap. The bibimbap was fantastic. Perfectly crispy on the bottom, flavorful, and just straight-up delicious. The soup was outstanding. It made me like tofu. It's spicy but not to a point where you can't taste it and the vegetables taste fresh. Don't get me started on the sides, either. Kimchi was perfect, potatoes were perfect, noodles were perfect, sprouts were perfect, and the broccoli salad-type dish (I don't know the name) was so damn good. At the very end of our meal, the woman who owns/co-owns the restaurant came over and treated us to some fermented rice punch for dessert, which she said was a traditional Korean end to the meal. It was a refreshing treat. All in all, this place was worth the trip and is, hands down, the best Korean place I've ever been to.
Very good bimbap, low key and simple place.
Manager is super kind and friendly. food is great and big portion. one of my favorite places
Great Korean place. Had a large family sit down lunch and everything came out quick and was tasty. Beef, chicken bulgogi, bim bim bap, octopus, fish pancake, and the sides. Everything was good and tasted fresh, the service was also nice. The inside of the restaurant also was clean so an added bonus. Strong recommendation to stop here when in the area
Delicious food excellent service!
Haerim is my go to place for delicious authentic Korean food. While the standard plates like bibimbap are excellent, I suggest you explore the whole menu. Every item is terrific.
This place is the best. Very authentic food. If you want delicious food, this is the place. And the proprietors are super nice and friendly. Definitely going back.
Just found my new favorite Korean restaurant to lunch at! 😋
The octopus in chili naji bokum is so flavorful and full of octopus. The whole fried fish we got flounder, it was perfect and was my favorite with rice and some banchan. So happy this place the staff are so so friendly and the food is the best around.
$14 for cold noddle with 3 pieces of beef
Great service and food! Quick and well cooked. Fried pot stickers and hot stone rice bowl are quite good!
I have been going to this restaurant for the past 8 years now. The family that runs this restaurant is so kind and caring. They have come to be a part of my own family. Not only do they serve amazing food, but they also take care of you with their amazingly friendly service. You get a great meal for a very reasonable price. You get free side dishes (banchan) at the beginning of the meal and rice punch at the end of your meal if you come for dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! They are lovely people!
Soft Tofu Stew with beef. I wish there is more beef in the stew but over all the flavor is good and the appetizers are also tasty. The menus are shorter then other Korean restaurant that I went to but also every dish have a photos so it is easier to order and know what you are getting.
Great food and great prices. Worth the drive.
Great food for the price. The seats are squishy and broken in and the restaurant itself is getting a bit old, so don't expect anything fancy but the staff is outgoing and friendly and they do a good job making all the classic Korean dishes. Very authentic flavor and good quality. If you're looking for real Korean, definitely check this place out.
Great food and service. One of my favorite Korean restaurants in Beaverton.
I came here on a Friday around 5 p.m. and was seated immediately. There are a lot of choices on their menu, and they even have a picture menu. Service was pretty good.I ordered the grilled mackerel while my boyfriend ordered the bibimbap. We both really enjoyed food. It's not the best Korean food I've ever had, but it was pretty good for a quick meal.
This place is good, great food, fast and friendly staff and easy to just relax. Moving soon and I will miss it.
Best Korean in town. Best service we've ever gotten. Every item I've ate has been delicious. Wonderful atmosphere. The owners are super sweet.
Amazing food, and even most amazing staff. Food is really delicious and not cert salty prices are pretty reasonable as well.
